Meet Jeff and Max
In 1996, I established QMR Remodeling, and my son came onboard in 2017. Together, we proudly service the Western and Southwest suburbs of Chicago. Quality, respect and attention to detail are the top standards that we still continue to take pride in today, even after over 25 years in business. The foundation of our success over the years is referral business—our client’s become like family. We want to be the only call you make for future home renovation projects.

Jeff and his son were awesome to work with and did a beautiful job on our bathroom (total remodel). Jeff was very responsive before our project began, answered numerous emails/questions, and offered suggestions for materials/brands. The project went smoothly, and they made sure to keep the place very clean—you wouldn't even know construction was going on in our house! Great work for a very reasonable price. Jeff and Max turned our tub/shower combo into a beautiful walk-in shower. They removed the cast iron tub, created a new tiled shower pan and walls and added glass shower doors. They showed up on time and cleaned up the area and down the stairs every day. They picked up our shower doors and toilet from the local home improvement center for us as we don’t have a vehicle large enough. They also fixed my entrance doors to the bathroom that have never closed properly. Very pleasant to work with.

Our kitchen walls, ceiling, cabinets, counters, over range microwave, and built in dishwasher needed to be replaced/installed. Very pleased with the work we had done. Jeff is the owner and does all of the work himself, along with his son. As with any project, it all seemed pretty straightforward to start. It's a standard 5 x 8 bathroom so it did not seem to be a large undertaking. Of course though, nothing goes according to plan. Originally we were going to keep the existing tub and just do a tile surround. During demolition we found that the tub was starting to rust so we decided to remove it and do a full tile shower instead. Jeff was very fair in quoting the additional amount of time it would take. Then we had a delay because of a door that was ordered backwards by the supplier and the vanity people taking longer than expected to cut and install the vanity. Through all of this Jeff was easy to communicate with and scheduling was never a problem. We added on the painting of the stairwell and the garage service door and Jeff obliged without any hesitation. As a last surprise we had a tower cabinet that was ordered to sit on the vanity and extend up to the ceiling. Unfortunately I made a mistake on the measurement and ordered it too tall. To reorder another unit would have been a $575 mistake. Thankfully Jeff was able to modify the existing unit by cutting off one of the drawers and custom making a top molding piece that would finish off the gap that was left at the ceiling. Looking at it now you would never be able to tell it was even modified. He did not charge extra for this time. Again we were very thankful for this. We were under construction for about 6 weeks and through it all, his work space was always kept very neat and clean. Nothing was tracked through the house because he cleaned up after every time he worked. Really very pleased with how it all turned out and we will definitely do more work with him in the future. We've already had him look at the kitchen modifications we would like to do next year.
